LAKE TAHOE - Personal Project
JUNE 12-18, 2019
I've been to Lake Tahoe a handful of times and it never fails to impress. Such a stunning landscape.
On this family visit I took two cameras - my iPhone XS Max and my new Leica Q2. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with this little camera because it's such a quality piece of gear. I put it to good use on a pre-dawn shoot at Emerald Bay. I'd been to that area before, but never at sunrise. The solitude I experienced there (all by myself) and at the falls above, was a harsh contrast to a visit the next afternoon with the family when it was completely overrun with tourists.
The shots of the car were made on the north shore. We stopped for ice cream and I saw this old classic (more or less semi-abandoned) in a parking lot behind the ice cream shop. I'd love to know the story of this car and its owner. Really cool.
