THE STATE FAIR OF TEXAS

The 2020 edition of The State Fair of Texas kicked off today, but will be a very different Fair than any before it. With concerns over COVID, the Fair put together a drive-thru event that allowed die-hard fairgoers to sample a variety of must-have food items, enjoy live music, and even play modified midway games, all from the comfort of their automobile.

One unique offering allowed visitors to get out of their cars for a moment and have their photo made with Big Tex.

Livestock competitions continued, allowing an opportunity for all those hard-working kids to show their various animals and have a chance to win a blue ribbon.
